X HystaOne Series
This series brings my layered mixed-media approach into conversation with graffiti culture through a collaboration with artist HystaOne. Each work begins with carefully constructed imagery—whether it’s Harley Quinn painted and layered with epoxy, or a Hot Wheels car exploding into motion—then disrupted and transformed by HystaOne’s raw graffiti tag. The result is a collision of worlds: polished design and fine art meeting the immediacy of street expression. Together, the pieces challenge how pop culture icons and objects are seen—both celebrated and redefined through layers of paint, epoxy, and graffiti.

Mixed media: acrylic, archival print, graffiti overlay, plexiglass, epoxy resin
20 x 30 in
What began as a hand-sketched and painted Harley Quinn on birch evolved into multiple versions of the same idea. The original piece was cut out, layered with plexiglass, and painted with acrylics and spray for texture and energy. Later versions reimagine that work as archival prints, cut and sealed between plexiglass with epoxy to create a layered, almost sculptural surface. Each version is then finished with bold embellishments and graffiti artist HystaOne’s raw tag—giving the polished image an edge of unpredictability.
